Elitist Entitlement Syndrome (EES): You know, those people who believe they are smarter than everybody else, and therefore, should be making decisions for everyone. They believe this because they have Ivy League educations and live lives above the rest of us.
Some of the smartest people I have ever known never went to college. In fact, some of them never finished high school. And, conversely, people who have degrees are some of the stupidest people...evah!
The EES sufferers now in charge in Washington claim to be soooooo smart. I maintain that they are not soooooo smart. Here's why:
They have completely misjudged the political climate of this country. EESers have listened to themselves and their stupid liberal ideas for so long they believe they are the majority. Americans who love the traditions of this country (you know, freedom, self-reliance, capitalism, small government, low taxes...the real majority) have been busy working hard, going to church and raising their families and have been less politically active, but not anymore.
EESers work relentlessly to destroy traditional American beliefs and values. In 2008 they believed they had done it. They thought when they were in control of government the American people would just allow them to do whatever they wanted to and change this country into their ideal socialist utopia. Yea, they were wrong, thus, the rise of the TEA Party. Traditional Americans are really, really angry.
They got busted on the global warming scam. Now, you have some EESers that come up with a scheme to make money and gain power and prestige by convincing the public that an element of air threatens the survival of the planet. That's right, air. Air is going to destroy the planet. Say it out loud and see just how stupid it sounds. How smart are these guys if they believe that they are going to get by with this? THEY SHOULD GO TO JAIL. FRAUD IS FRAUD.
The insidious encroachment of Socialism. Socialism never worked before in any country where it has been tried. Yet EESers believe that "they are the ones they have been waiting for" and they can do socialism right. Wrong! It does not work. Socialism is merely misery equally shared by all, except the EESers because they make themselves exempt.

They have replayed the strategies of the Great Depression. Don't EESers read history? They have made the exact same decisions and mistakes that were made during the Great Depression in the 1930s: Big spending, big deficits, high taxes, no accountability and no responsibility. And just like the Great Depression, the current recession has been prolonged. There is no end in sight.
If EESers were as smart as they think they are, don't you think they would learn that something does not work and not do it? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Or, if you keep on doing what you have always done, you will keep on getting what you have always gotten (thanks AA).

Albert Einstein said: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Smart people don't continue to make the same mistakes. Smart people learn what works and what doesn't. Smart people do what works! Smart people know history.
Can the case be made that people who are successful and happy without the benefit of a college education are actually SMARTER than those with a degree? You know, self-educated people. After all, they did not spend/waste years and years being educated. They jumped right in, followed their passion and started a business or other successful endeavor. And they are not burdened with the crushing debt, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars, of student loans. Now there is someone who is smart!
Just because a person has an Ivy League education doesn't make them smart. Just because a person believes they are smart doesn't make them smart. It does make them arrogant and pretentious.
And there is no way EESers should be running this country and making decisions that affect other people.
